VISIONS AND VALUES
A big thank you from Karin Gartzke and Jessamy Hadley to everyone involved in the very lively Vision and Values workshops this month. Just shows what can happen when creative minds from across Trafalgar Entertainment get together!
Defining our common purpose and the values that guide the way we work allowed us to explore the many things we have in common.
LIFE OF BRIAN TURNS 40
Returning to cinemas for its 40th Anniversary, in glorious standard definition and mono-sound, Monty Python delivers a scathing, anarchic satire of both religion and Hollywood’s depiction of all things biblical with their 1979 feature film Life of Brian.
Highly controversial upon its original release and banned in several countries, the film is now frequently ranked as the greatest comedy feature of all time by media outlets around the world.
KHALID’S FREE SPIRIT
Multi-platinum award winning global superstar Khalid celebrates the upcoming release of his highly anticipated sophomore album “Free Spirit” with a special companion short film, also titled “Free Spirit” which will be screened as a one-night event in cinemas worldwide on 3 April. NEW BOLSHOI AND MET RELEASES
Featuring some of the most glorious music ever written—including, of course, the Ride of the Valkyries—Die Walküre is the second of the four operas that comprise Wagner’s Ring cycle, a story of monsters, gods, and humans on a superhuman scale. Catch this production from the Met Opera in cinemas tomorrow (30 March).
RETURN OF THE KING
The multi-award winning and critically acclaimed Lincoln Center Theater’s production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King And I is coming back to UK cinemas by popular demand on 4 April. BIG SCREEN OPERA AND BALLET
Trafalgar Releasing brings two stunning productions to UK cinemas next month. The Metropolitan Opera’s 2018-19 season continues with La Fille du Régiment, streamed live from New York to UK cinemas on 2 March.
Full of wit and invention, Donizetti’s comic opera is a delight. The famous aria “Ah, Mes Amis,” with its nine high Cs, is one of opera’s most show-stopping numbers.
