WELCOME – NOVEMBER 2019

Welcome to the November edition of Ensemble.

I’d like to start by officially welcoming Christine Costello and the team from More2Screen to the Trafalgar Entertainment family. This is another exciting development and together, Trafalgar Releasing and More2Screen, will continue to build on their hugely successful businesses as market leaders in the Event Cinema industry. There’s more on this story as you read on.

We have a busy weekend lined up starting with the annual Trafalgar Entertainment Management Away Day at St Martin’s Lane Hotel in London on Friday where we will be unveiling our new company Vision and Values. For those of you attending, we look forward to seeing you there. Don’t forget that next Monday (2 December) we will be rolling out the Vision and Values company-wide in a special Ensemble Extra.

This weekend we also say farewell to the cast of A Day in the Death of Joe Egg with the final performance taking place at Trafalgar Studios on Saturday night. It’s been a truly fantastic run, with some wonderful performances from the cast and a subject matter which has given a lot of people food for thought.

On Sunday, it’s the annual Stagecoach Charity Gala and Creative Courage for Life Awards at the Shaftesbury Theatre, celebrating the incredible performing arts achievements of young people from across the Stagecoach network. This is a very special event and one that I was honoured to attend last year. Also, huge congratulations to everyone at Stagecoach for their Music & Drama Education Award nomination. Read on to learn more.

Unbelievably, another year has passed by and next month in our Christmas issue, we’ll be taking a look back at the highlights of 2019. We will also have red carpet reports from The King and I in Birmingham and A Taste of Honey at Trafalgar Studios as both shows open for their Christmas residences. There will also be the winners from the Stagecoach Creative Courage for Life Awards and photos from the Management Away Day.

Best wishes
Rosemary
