The White Rock Theatre gave 100 tickets to Ukrainian residents and their sponsor families in Hastings and the surrounding area to see the Beauty and The Beast pantomime in December.

Following that British cultural experience, the Ukrainian children were then invited to a more familiar event at the venue on 19 December – a traditional Ukraine Christmas celebration.

Ran in partnership with Ukrainian professionals, children were able to meet St Nicholas and take part in several activities like face-painting, drama games and crafts. The children also received gifts and listened to traditional Ukrainian music. 

The venue aims to continue this collaboration, providing somewhere for Ukrainian refugees to spend time together with familiar activities after being forced away from their homes.
