STAGECOACH TEACHERFEST 2019 AND THIRD GLOBAL CONFERENCE
Stagecoach representatives from across the globe descended on Whittlebury Hall in Northampton at the end of June for the company’s Teacherfest event and third Global Conference.
The annual events allow Stagecoach Teachers and Principals to take part in a range of different taster workshops to enhance their skills and inspire new ideas for the Stagecoach classroom.
At TeacherFest, which took place on the Sunday before the conference, the workshops included of The King and I, Heathers the Musical, Choreographer Matt Walker, Candoco Dance Company and the Trestle Theatre Company amongst others with special guest Baroness Floella Benjamin ending the day with an inspirational keynote speech about the importance of supporting children in the arts.

Louisa Roberts, Head of Educational Programme Development and Training for Stagecoach, said, “It is always a privilege to engage with our Stagecoach practitioners and this year’s responses to Teacherfest reminded us what an exciting event it is.”
Hundreds of people attended the third Stagecoach Global Conference which included a pre-dinner address from our very own Dame Rosemary Squire.
The theme this year was Health, Wealth and Happiness and the first day was filled with keynote speakers supporting this ethos, such as Professor Tanya Byron who gave a witty and insightful speech about the importance of looking after the brain!
The Principals left the event feeling fired up and focussed after attending numerous workshops to help them achieve their business goals as well as personal work/life balance. All-in-all it was a productive few days!
