Welcome to the August edition of Ensemble. I hope you’re all keeping well and enjoying this rather lovely extended spell of warm weather that we’re still experiencing!

There were celebrations for Jersey Boys recently as the show marked its one year anniversary at Trafalgar Theatre with the introduction of some new cast members. It’s a great story of survival and overcoming the odds, and we felt it was kind of uplifting show that would bring a sense of confidence and a sense of well-being back to the West End. It was also the perfect show to reopen Trafalgar Theatre following its beautiful renovation. It really has been a remarkable year for the show so congratulations to everyone at Trafalgar Theatre Productions and Trafalgar Theatre.

There’s lots of company-wide activity this month with Stagecoach returning to Disneyland Paris for the first time since Covid, Jonathan Church announcing a brand new production of 42nd Street, a Creative Learning take over in Bromley, a summer refurbishment at New Theatre Cardiff, the final weeks of Anything Goes and new cinema events from Trafalgar Releasing.

Last month you also received the news about the appointment of Allie McCann as COO/Producer TE Asia Pacific. With over three decades industry experience and having worked on some of the world’s most loved productions, Allie is going to be a wonderful addition to the team in Australia. We’re delighted to have Allie on board and I’m sure you’ll join me in welcoming her to the company.
