EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH: CHARLIE HINSHELWOOD

Meet our brand new Employee of the Month, Charlie Hinshelwood!

Where do you work and what do you do?
I’m Head of Acquisitions at Trafalgar Releasing, which means I sit across the whole acquisitions process for music, theatre, opera, ballet and documentary film projects coming into the company.

Describe yourself in 3 words!
Pretty chilled out.

Favourite stage production and why?
I go to the theatre embarrassingly little, but I saw Hamilton on Broadway with my mum a few years ago which was a pretty special experience.

Favourite album?
Of all time: Jónsi – Go
At the moment: Bring Me The Horizon – Live at the Royal Albert Hall

Best ever gig?
Blink 182 when I was 11 years old at the Hammersmith Apollo with my dad. They blew my little mind and made me want to be a rock star for a good few years after that.

Top 3 films of all time?
Gladiator
Arrival
The Handmaiden

What’s your go to TV binge boxset?
The number of times I’ve gone back and binged Entourage is too many to count. It’s not quite as PC as you might like these days, but it’s just such an easy watch with mates.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
I’m a big skier, so anywhere with snow keeps me happy.

Your Greatest sporting achievement?
I was part of the freestyle skiing team at university, and after 5 years of attempting tricks and scraping my face across AstroTurf on dodgy Scottish dry slopes, I managed to come away from our final slopestyle competition with a bronze medal.

What’s your cooking masterpiece?
It always used to be a veggie Thai curry, but my standards have been slipping in recent months. I do make a mean blue cheese carbonara as well, but those flavour combinations aren’t always to everybody’s taste.

Who is your hero and why?
That’s a difficult one. I’ve never been a huge hero worshipper, but I’m a big fan of Denis Villeneuve at the moment. He just always seems to make such amazing and beautifully shot movies, and he seems like he’s generally a pretty nice guy.
