WELCOME – AUGUST 2025

Dear All,

Welcome to the August 2025 edition of Ensemble. I hope you’ve had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend and enjoyed this glorious sunshine.

This week, we roll out the red carpet, pop the champagne corks, and officially open the doors of Bradford Live with a number of celebratory events across the weekend including a special gala performance of The Prat Pack with Bradley Walsh and friends, and our free Club Classics party night with Limelight Orchestra. It’ll be a weekend to remember.

We thank the visionary project teams who brought Bradford Live roaring back to life. Without them, none of this would be possible. During this City of Culture year, Bradford Live will play its part in building a world-class legacy for the city as well as becoming a venue of national stature we can all be proud of.

Huge thanks to the teams in Eastbourne for their work on the New Era project at the three theatres. Our involvement in one of Europe’s biggest airshows, the Airbourne Eastbourne International Airshow, and partnership with a former RAF Tornado pilot was certainly one way of getting noticed! You can see some of the spectacular photos from the airshow weekend in this edition of Ensemble.

After more than 11 years at Stagecoach Performing Arts, our current CEO Andy Knights is leaving Trafalgar Education for pastures new. Under Andy’s inspirational leadership Stagecoach and Drama Kids have become world-leaders in performing arts education – and continue to expand their international footprint with new territories in Europe, Australia and Canada – in turn empowering more individuals to unlock their creative talents. We’re sad to see Andy go, but delighted that he’ll continue as a Board Advisor from November. We wish him all the very best for the future.

And we’re delighted to welcome Gary Roden to Trafalgar Theatres in the new role of Chief Operating Officer. Some of you may have worked with Gary previously, when he worked with us at ATG. Gary joins the business on 1 September and will no doubt be meeting many of you in the coming weeks.

Enjoy reading this month’s Ensemble, and until next time, take care of yourselves.

Best wishes
Rosemary
