Welcome to the August edition of Ensemble.

I hope you’re all enjoying this long overdue spell of warm, sunny weather!

Following last week’s exciting news, we’re delighted to officially welcome Sarah and Steve Boden and all the Imagine Theatre team to the Trafalgar family! We’re really looking forward to working together, and I’m sure many of you will meet our new colleagues in the coming months.

The award-winning Imagine Theatre team – led by Sarah and Steve – and supported by an amazing team of professionals – support productions in more than 50 venues across the UK, from the hiring of set and props through to the staging of entire productions. This year, the company will produce or co-produce 19 pantomimes across the UK, including some in our own theatres. Imagine received twelve nominations at this year’s UK Pantomime Awards, winning three awards at the 2023 ceremony including Best Pantomime over 900 seats, Best Set and Staging, and Best Newcomer.

But to get things started, you can meet some of the core Imagine team in this month’s newsletter. And we’ll feature more staff in later editions of Ensemble. Welcome to you all!

Also this month, our Education businesses have been busy with the annual Stagecoach dance performance at Disneyland Paris and a National Franchisee Seminar for the recently rebranded Drama Kids. Plus, all the usual venues, productions, event cinema, and creative learning updates. Oh, and we have the small matter of that strange new phenomenon… Barbenheimer!
