Welcome to the April 2024 edition of Ensemble. I hope you all had a lovely Easter break and managed to find some time to getaway or relax and unwind. 

Firstly, well done to everyone at Trafalgar Theatre Productions on the Olivier Award nomination for Best New Musical for A Strange Loop. The show’s writer Michael R Jackson gave a wonderful performance at the ceremony last weekend and the production team were honoured to host Michael during his flying visit to the UK. And congratulations to The Picture of Dorian Gray for collecting two Olivier Awards for Best Actress (Sarah Snook) and Best Costume Design (Marg Horwell).  

Trafalgar Releasing and HYBE are thrilled to announce the record-setting success of the cinematic cut of SUGA│Agust D TOUR ‘D-DAY’ THE MOVIE. The concert film has grossed a total of $10.16 million worldwide from limited showtimes resulting in it becoming the highest grossing U.S. and worldwide concert film of 2024 as well as the highest grossing cinema event ever from a K-pop solo artist. Outstanding results.   

Also this month, we’re thrilled to announce the final cast line-up for our highly anticipated summer production of Kiss Me, Kate at the Barbican Centre, and as we fast approach the grand opening of Fareham Live later this year, we’re excited that our opening season is now on sale. 

Plus, we have all the usual news from our businesses and venues across the Group, our regular Creative Learning round-up, and Rocky Horror aplenty!
