The team in Dartford are returning to Orchard West, following various redeployment roles around the company. They are working hard to remobilise the award-winning temporary venue in time to kick off an opening season of community events over the summer months.

Seating has been reinstalled in the auditorium, cables are being hung, dressing rooms tidied, concession stands restocked and poster frames filled. The first event at Orchard West is an Open House on Saturday 24 May, where the public are permitted to explore back stage for the first time!

Orchard Theatre/West Theatre Director, Tal Rosen, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be reopening Orchard West, retaining the arts and culture in Dartford, whilst essential works continue at The Orchard Theatre. This vibrant multi-award winning state-of-the-art temporary venue gives us the opportunity to continue serving our brilliant community with a packed programme of performances – from community events starting 24 May to our Summer Youth Project, family favourites, comedy, dance, and live music!“

Tal added: “It’s also a vital way for us to retain our talented workforce, who are now returning to Orchard West after supporting venues across the company. The team is working tirelessly to get the venue show-ready, and we’re proud to be working hand in hand with Dartford Borough Council to bring the venue back to life.

“We can’t wait to welcome audiences back – starting with our Open House, and continuing right through to our magical pantomime Aladdin with our brilliant partners at Imagine. Followed by a thriving Q4, before we begin our full remobilisation of the Orchard Theatre in Spring 2026.
