Here’s our quick guide to all the venues in the HQ Theatres portfolio!
Cliffs Pavilion – Southend
The Cliffs Pavilion is the largest purpose-built performing arts venue in Essex and presents more than 300 performances each year. The venue plays host to shows across a wide range of live entertainment – from touring West End musicals, top name comedians, standing rock concerts and more (as well as hosting one of the South East’s biggest pantomimes).
G Live – Guildford
G Live opened in September 2011 on the site of Guildford’s former Civic Hall. Its landmark inspirational architecture and light-filled foyers make it the perfect setting in which to enjoy live music, dance, comedy, musicals and much more besides. Capable of hosting seated and standing events; the venue is also equipped to host large-scale conferences and events.
Orchard Theatre – Dartford
The Orchard Theatre is located in the heart of Dartford town centre and hosts more than 350 shows per year. Opened in 1983 the Orchard Theatre is now established as one of the South East’s premier venues; hosting top West End musicals, commercial drama and a range of one night events. Extensively refurbished in 2019 the theatre is now able to move to flat-floor configuration offering further programming opportunity for standing gigs and events.
The Churchill Theatre – Bromley
Since 1977 the Churchill Theatre in Bromley has been one of the South East’s leading live entertainment venues welcoming over 150,000 customers through its doors every year. The theatre is proud to present many ‘Bromley Premiere’ shows, allowing audiences to see brand new productions prior to the West End or National tour. An extensive studio programme complements the main house event programme and the venue also boasts excellent production facilities including scenic workshop and rehearsal space.

The Swan – High Wycombe
Wycombe Swan is a thriving theatre complex within the heart of High Wycombe town centre and offers an unrivalled array of adaptable spaces – including the main auditorium, the Old Town Hall and the Oak Room. The venue presents a wide range of week-long and one-night shows and an extensive events programme in its secondary spaces.
The Lyceum Theatre – Crewe
Originally built in 1911 and extensively refurbished in 2012, the Grade II listed Crewe Lyceum Theatre has established itself as the premier venue in Cheshire in which to experience quality entertainment in spectacular surroundings and delicious food and drink.
The Wyvern Theatre – Swindon
The Wyvern Theatre is a wonderful venue in which to enjoy the very best touring theatre alongside locally produced work. The auditorium has excellent sightlines and legroom and is a favourite of theatre companies and audiences alike. Live entertainment of every type is presented all year round and the annual pantomime is a particular highlight for all the family.
The Beck Theatre – Hayes
The Beck Theatre opened in 1977 and is managed by HQT&H on behalf of the London Borough of Hillingdon Council. The Theatre is a vibrant receiving house and offers a mixed programme of light entertainment, concerts, comedy and digital cinema as well as dance, drama and local amateur shows.

The White Rock Theatre – Hastings
Situated in a commanding position on the Hastings shoreline the White Rock Theatre is the perfect concert and theatre venue, with a recently-refurbished, sea-view Café Bar. The Theatre’s programme is varied and includes one night concerts, musicals, drama and an annual pantomime.
The Palace Theatre – Westcliff-on-Sea
Opened in 1912, this delightful Edwardian Theatre retains all of the charm of its music hall origins including the sweeping grand staircase to the Circle, alongside many original features such as the regency-style domes on the boxes and the ornately-decorated billboard frames on the proscenium arch.
The Arts Centre – Swindon
Swindon Arts Centre is one of the town’s most popular venues. Situated in Old Town the venue has been presenting a range of performances since it opened in the 1950s. With an intimate auditorium it is ideal for small-scale touring productions and is also home to many of Swindon’s locally produced shows.

New Theatre – Cardiff (Coming Soon!)
The New Theatre is a 1,044 capacity capital-city venue on the Number 1 touring circuit and plays host to week-long musicals, commercial drama, opera and one-night events – plus Wales’ biggest pantomime production. The theatre has a rich history and is a jewel in the crown of Cardiff – one of the UK’s most vibrant regional cities. HQ has secured the contract for the New Theatre Cardiff and is preparing to take over operation of the venue and to welcome the New Theatre team to the family from mid-2021.
