THE FURLOUGH DIARIES Part Two

Catch up with more of our furloughed colleagues in part two of our Furlough Diaries.

PAUL FORD from the London Theatre Direct Customer Contact Centre
Though times have been challenging during the furlough period, and it has been difficult to be away from my friends and colleagues, I have been staying positive and keeping busy, going on bike rides and doggy walks as often as possible, and mainly baking, which, having recently become vegan, is a massive challenge in itself (for my kitchen and my waistline)!

As you can see from the picture though, my first attempt at a vegan lemon drizzle cake didn’t come out too badly burnt (and the family agreed tasted pretty good too). I hope to bring in more baked goods for everyone to try when the office reopens soon.

PAUL GOODMAN – Creative Strategist at Luke Shires Marketing
My wife Nicola and I are expecting a little baby girl, due in October. So while Nic’s been working from home, I’ve been doing a full Jackie Kennedy on our new house to make sure everything is ready for the baby’s arrival. I say ‘Jackie Kennedy’ because I’ve been very much an overseer… I’m about as useful with a hammer as the famous First Lady herself! Or so I imagine!

Still, between the paint going on and the wardrobes going up, we’ve managed to find time, most days, for a nice walk in our local park. Trying to enjoy the gift of time, feeling grateful to be in each other’s company and munching our way through every available flavour of Magnum. So in many ways it’s been lovely. Even so, I can’t wait to get back to work and do my bit to help get Theatreland back on its feet!
