TEAM OF THE MONTH: WHITE ROCK THEATRE FOH

Meet our brand new Team of the Month!

Where do you work and what do you do?
We’re the Front of House Team at the White Rock Theatre in Hastings.

What are your biggest challenges as a Team?
The eccentric building! (Tom Armstrong)

What makes your team work so well?
It’s like a family! We all get on so well and support each other. Our management give us clear details before each show and are encouraging and supportive. They always respond to queries really quickly and help us on very busy nights. They make you feel very valued! (Alison Horan)

If any problems arise, then we all work together and help each other out to resolve them (Charley Green).

Top 3 films of all time?
1. Trainspotting
2. 2001: A Space Odyssey
3. The Muppets Christmas Carol
(Patrick O Quigley)

Most famous person you’ve ever met?
I looked after the entire Beckham family once, during a production of Annie the Musical. I still have a picture Harper Beckham drew, of me carrying ice-creams (Nadine Passley).

Favourite Stage Production and why?
It has to be Hamilton! The lyrics, composition, choreography! I believe it’s one of the best musicals. It makes learning about an historic figure and event fun (Cody Robertson).

Favourite Album?
Eagles – Hotel California, as I love every track on the album and it was the first one I bought as a teenager in the 70’s. I still have it on vinyl too! (Perri Haste)

Best gig ever?
Bon Jovi at Wembley before it was demolished. It was a mind-blowing concert and one I have never forgotten (Teresa Merritt).

Favourite Holiday Destination and why?
Barcelona. The architecture, the art, the food, the funicular, the music, the beach, the people, the sun (Finola Woolgar).

Who is your hero and why?
Harvey Milk – an outspoken politician who fought discrimination in so many ways, socially and politically, changing long established biased laws in 1970s America and in the process globally – ultimately paying with his life. I believe the things he fought to change are as relevant now as they were his lifetime. A very inspiring and hugely influential man (Wayne Chambers).

Favourite scary movie?
Stephen King’s IT. Tim Curry was terrifying, and I love quoting his lines! (Kenny Mitchell)
