Meet our brand new Team of the Month!

JO STEAD-BURGESS
Where do you work and what do you do? Hastings White Rock Theatre & everywhere! Head of Creative Learning, Venues.
Describe yourself in 3 words! Friendly, energetic, determined.
Best ever gig? The Stone Roses, Spike Island, 1990. A day so good they made a movie and a documentary about it!

LAURA BATEMAN
Where do you work and what do you do? Hastings White Rock Theatre, Deputy Creative Learning Manager.
What’s your go to TV binge boxset? Gavin & Stacey – “Oh! Dave!” is a statement used around my house nearly every day!
Favourite stage production and why? Jerusalem with Jez Butterworth, Mackenzie Crook and Johnny Flynn. The stage design was EPIC and the acting was just out of this world. It had me laughing and crying. A piece of theatre which will stick in my mind forever.

EMMA JONES
Where do you work and what do you do? G Live, Guildford – Creative Learning Manager, Freelance dance artist and producer/agent.
Top 3 films of all time? Hitch, Matilda the Musical, Crash
Your Greatest sporting achievement? Being the daughter of an awesome man who was in the Olympics 3 times! I was a gymnast and on the county hockey team before I headed across to the dance world!

EMMA WAGSTAFF
Where do you work and what do you do? Southend Theatres (Cliffs Pavilion and Palace Theatre) – Creative Learning Executive, Cultural Learning and Participation Apprenticeship.
Favourite holiday destination and why? South Africa. I got to go when I was 10 years old to meet extended family; it was a trip I will never forget!
Who is your hero and why? In support of International Women’s Day this March, I would say the women around me that have acted as support, role models or just a source of positivity. Whether that be my family, friends or colleagues.

ELLE PETHURST
Where do you work and what do you do? Wycombe Swan in High Wycombe – Creative Learning Manager.
What’s your cooking masterpiece? I believe in making things from scratch (when I have time!) and I have perfected my pizza dough recipe – so pizza is my speciality!
Favourite album? When I’m not listening to musical soundtracks, dance, Drum & Bass or old school RnB, I do love a compilation album – it’s got to be Motown Greatest Hits.

KIARAN HALL
Where do you work and what do you do? Churchill Theatre Bromley – Creative Learning Manager.
Who is your hero and why? Constance Markievicz, leader of the Irish Suffragette movement and first woman elected as an MP although refused to attend. She made it possible for me to have freedom of choice. Personal hero – my Great Aunt Esme. She was a trailblazer in a completely different way and her love of learning, life and wicked sense of humour will always stay with me.
Favourite holiday destination and why? Bermuda – you don’t get water that colour blue anywhere else.

MELAINE SHEEDY
Where do you work and what do you do? Churchill Theatre Bromley – Creative Learning & Access Co-ordinator.
Top 3 films of all time? Encanto, The Shawshank Redemption, and the Harry Potter movies. Such a hard question! So many good films! Lord of the Rings, Mary Poppins, Mulan, I love me a movie!
Your Greatest sporting achievement? Being scouted by Millwall Football Club at 16, or Under 16s Southwalk Tennis champion (I was a sporty kid)!

OLI WEBB
Where do you work and what do you do? Wyvern Theatre and Swindon Arts Centre – Creative Learning Manager.
Best ever gig? Amanda Palmer at St David’s Hall Cardiff. A mix of music, spoken word, comedy, and TED talk. I laughed, cried, and was so moved. Listen to ‘There Will be No Intermission’ – so beautiful.
Describe yourself in 3 words! Creative, passionate, quirky (chosen for me!)

CHARLOTTE YOUNG
Where do you work and what do you do? I’m the Creative Learning Officer for Beck Theatre in Hayes.
Favourite stage production and why? Come From Away – it’s storytelling at it’s finest and is a celebration of community, hope and humanity. The musical tells the true story of the 7,000 stranded passengers in a small Canadian town during 9/11 with just twelve actors, some musicians and some chairs. The songs can be found on Spotify and the show is going on tour soon – grab a ticket!
Who is your hero and why? I’ve been researching Nellie Bly recently who features in the stageshow Around The World in 80 Days. This phenomonal journalist circled the world with just the clothes on her back and a small bag in 1889 in 72 days, beating the fictional record set by Phileas Fogg. She also pioneered investigative journalism by committing herself to an asylum in New York for ten days so she could expose the horrible conditions there.

HOLLIE WIMPENNY
Where do you work and what do you do? Creative Learning and Engagement Manager at Crewe Lyceum Theatre.
What’s your go to TV binge boxset? I love to watch Death in Paradise, a classic British murder mystery show, but set in the Caribbean. I enjoy watching it during the winter months, it warms me up during the cold evenings.
What’s your cooking masterpiece? Unfortunately, I am awful at cooking! There is no masterpiece to be found with my skills!

TERRI MCCANN
Where do you work and what do you do? Creative Learning Manager at Orchard Theatre Dartford.
Top 3 films of all time? Goonies (because Goonies never say die!) and it’s brilliant timeless and feel good. Burlesque because Cher and show girls are always a winning combo. It is my go to feel good film. And Little Mermaid, the first Disney film I saw and it always makes me smile.
Favourite holiday destination and why? Tenerife, because when I’m there I feel my soul sing, the people, the views, the cactus.
