BEHIND THE BEANS

The cast of this year’s Pavilion Panto Jock and the Beanstalk visited Glasgow’s oldest sweet shop – Glickman’s – this month to sample their famous jelly beans. The cast were warmly greeted by owners Julie and Irene who have been running the shop for decades.
The 8-strong principal cast, which include Pavilion favourites Liam Dolan, Grado, Stephen Purdon and Jack Jester, checked out the impressive sweetie displays in the traditional-looking shop. But of course, the main event was the jelly beans – which while they didn’t seem to work as legal tender, were delicious all the same. The cast also shared a behind the scenes look at their fantastic costumes, complete with full makeup and wigs.
