PRODUCTION NEWS
The original Grammy, Tony and Olivier award-winning smash-hit musical, Jersey Boys, recently celebrated its 18th birthday after opening on Broadway in 2005. This musical extravaganza goes behind the music and inside the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons in the true-life phenomenon and is currently booking until 28th January 2024. Christmas performances are now on sale.
Alongside the birthday celebrations, the London production announced its new cast at the Trafalgar Theatre. Luke Suri as Frankie Valli and Karl James Wilson as Nick Massi continue their roles, with Peter Nash (Singin’ in the Rain UK tour) as Tommy De Vito and Declan Egan as Bob Gaudio, who previously played the role at the Piccadilly Theatre and on the UK tour, completing the Four Seasons.
Howard Panter said: “Eighteen years is a magnificent milestone for Jersey Boys and I’m thrilled that audiences continue to give standing ovations at the Trafalgar Theatre night after night. I can’t wait to see our incredible new cast take to the stage and perform the legendary hits that make Jersey Boys the smash hit musical it is.”

With just a few weeks left before the end of its hugely successful summer season at the Barbican Centre, a brand new trailer has dropped for the critically-acclaimed “show of the summer”, A Strange Loop.
The ground-breaking and critically acclaimed winner of every ‘Best Musical’ award on Broadway, and the Pulitzer Prize, A Strange Loop, will end its run on 9 September.

5* smash hit, Myra’s Story, is to play a limited ten performance run at Trafalgar Theatre in September and October and will play the slots when Jersey Boys isn’t performing. This one-woman play about homelessness, alcoholism, and addiction, is written by Derry playwright Brian Foster and stars Irish actor Fíonna Hewitt-Twamley (below) in the title role.

During the run, Trafalgar Theatres is partnering with homeless charity, The Connection at St Martin-in-the-Fields, to raise funds and awareness.
Helen Enright, who saw the play whilst on a recent trip to Glasgow, said: “When I first saw Myra’s Story in Trafalgar’s Pavilion Theatre Glasgow, I was completely captivated by it like the rest of the audience. It makes you laugh and at the same time is heartbreaking, highlighting the challenges that homeless people face each day. It made me realise that, like Myra, each one of them has their own story. I defy anyone who sees Myra’s Story to think of homeless people in the same way ever again.
“The Trafalgar team felt this story needed to be told to a wider audience and I’m delighted that we’re able to tell Myra’s Story at one of our theatres this autumn. It’s particularly poignant to stage Myra’s Story in London’s Trafalgar Theatre, in Westminster, the homeless capital of the UK.”
