PRODUCTION NEWS

Trafalgar Theatre Productions has announced two major tours for 2023.

STEEL MAGNOLIAS

Steel Magnolias is the hilarious and heart-warming true story that inspired the hit film starring Dolly Parton and Julia Roberts. The beloved film is now beautifully brought to life on stage by TTP and features an all-star cast including Jacqueline Jossa and Laura Mann.

Six women come together in a small town beauty salon in the American South and prove that female friendship conquers all. Faced with the highs and lows of love and life, and amongst the chaos of work, marriage and children, they unite to gossip, unwind and set the world to rights.

This iconic comedy is the perfect ticket for every generation and proves that one hair appointment might just change your life.

The tour kicks off in January and will visit Bromley, Richmond, Sheffield, Guildford, Bath, Salford, Brighton, Southend, Birmingham, High Wycombe, Leicester, Nottingham, Cardiff, Cheltenham, Malvern, Exeter, Milton Keynes, Liverpool, Glasgow, Dublin, Hull, Swindon, Dartford, Leeds and Northampton.

THE KING AND I

The greatest musical from the golden age of musicals – adored by the public and critics alike – with one of the finest scores ever written including; Whistle a Happy Tune, Getting to Know You, and Shall We Dance, and featuring a company of over 50 world-class performers and a full-scale orchestra – The King and I is returning in spectacular style next year!

A celebration of the lavish heritage of the very best in romantic musical theatre from an unparalleled multi-award-winning creative team, hailed as one of the best working in theatre today, directed by Tony Award winner Bart Sher (South Pacific & My Fair Lady – Broadway).

The tour kicks off in February and will visit Canterbury, Liverpool, Wimbledon, Birmingham, High Wycombe, Bristol, Dartford, Bradford, Southend, Glasgow and Cardiff.

The multi award-winning The King and I was a huge hit for TTP in 2018/19, with a sell-out tour and summer season at the London Palladium, and the screening of the production becoming the biggest cinema theatrical event of 2018.
