PRODUCTION NEWS

Here’s our monthly round-up from the Production teams.

Good Night, Oscar is currently going down a storm at the Barbican and the reviews have been ecstatic from audiences and theatre critics alike! The reviews really do speak for themselves.

Direct from Broadway, Good Night, Oscar sees Tony Award-winner Sean Hayes (Will and Grace) reprise this iconic role alongside West End royalty Rosalie Craig (COMPANY) in an evening of hilarity, heartache, and a virtuosic live piano performance from Hayes himself.

Good Night, Oscar is directed by Lisa Peterson and masterfully explores fame, artistry, and the fragility of genius.

It’s 1958, and Jack Paar hosts the hottest late-night talk-show on television. His favourite guest? Wild card Oscar Levant. Famous for his witty one-liners, Oscar has a favourite: “There’s a fine line between genius and insanity; I have erased this line.” Tonight, Oscar will prove just that, when he appears live on national TV in an episode that Paar’s audience – and the rest of America – won’t soon forget.

Good Night, Oscar plays at the Barbican until 21 September. Variety said that the show “DEMANDS TO BE SEEN!” – Make sure you see it while you still can!
