SEAN HAYES ON THE ONE SHOW FOR GOOD NIGHT, OSCAR

Hot on the heels of Fiddler on the Roof, another Trafalgar production will be setting up home at the Barbican for the remainder of the summer. Emmy and Tony Award-winner Sean Hayes (Will & Grace) will reprise his much-lauded Tony Award-winning performance – and will make his West End debut – in Good Night, Oscar where he’ll be joined by acclaimed Evening Standard Award-winner Rosalie Craig.
Sean recently joined Roman Kemp and Alex Jones on BBC1’s The One Show to chat about the show.
In this new play by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Doug Wright, Sean plays Oscar Levant – a Hollywood actor, concert pianist, and the most subversive wit ever to appear on television during its Golden Age. Rosalie who returns to the West End stage, stars as June Levant.
The Broadway production earned widespread critical acclaim and saw Sean Hayes win the 2023 Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Play for his tour-de-force portrayal. Good Night, Oscar is directed by Lisa Peterson and masterfully explores fame, artistry, and the fragility of genius. Now, London audiences for the first time will experience this dazzling, darkly funny drama in the West End direct from its acclaimed Broadway run.
