Mawaan to star as The Narrator in Rocky Horror Show!
BAFTA award winning comedian Mawaan Rizwan will be flaunting his fishnets and bringing his unique style of comedy to the role of the Narrator in Richard O’Brien’s legendary rock ‘n’ roll musical the Rocky Horror Show. Mawaan will play the role for a limited two-week run on 6 – 20 September at London’s Dominion Theatre as part of a new nine-month UK tour.

Mawaan Rizwan is an actor, writer and comedian who found fame through his successful YouTube channel which quickly led to various TV roles in Definitely Not Newsround (CBBC) and Mega Awesome Super Hacks (Disney XD). No stranger to the comedy circuit, Mawaan performed at the Comedy Club Leicester Square and two consecutive years at the Edinburgh Festival to rave reviews.
However, it wasn’t long before Mawaan was back on our screens in Two Weeks to Live (Sky One), Murdered By My Father (BBC Three) as well as being recognized as a writer on Sex Education. It was in 2023 that Mawaan received a BAFTA award for Juice (BBC Three) a surreal comedy series which he starred in, wrote and co-produced.
Mawaan said: “Rocky Horror was such a formative show for me as a performer, so I’m very excited and honoured to be a part of bringing it back. I can’t wait for audiences to experience this joyously anarchic classic once again!”
