JERSEY BOYS – “THE SHOW WE ALL NEED”
Following the triumphant London return of Jersey Boys in July, Trafalgar Theatre held its first ever press night last month and welcomed theatre critics and celebs to see the smash hit show!
The Evening Standard led the reviews claiming Jersey Boys was “The show we all need,” whilst Alun Hood for What’s on Stage said, “This compact new West End remounting of Des McAnuff’s dynamic, clean-cut staging cements the show’s reputation as one of the most immaculately crafted and flat-out enjoyable jukebox tuners.”
In a four star review for The Guardian, Lyndsey Winship, said “Jersey Boys is a musical that efficiently delivers a cracking story and a seemingly endless catalogue of hit songs.”

The Times said, “The audience was in raptures,” and a Mail on Sunday review said, “Jersey Boys is jam packed with hits… spine tingling moments only live performance provides,” whilst calling it “a fast moving, crowd pleasing show.”

In another glowing review, London Theatre, said, “The hits just keep coming… a star-making West End debut for Ben Joyce, oh what a night indeed.”
The Telegraph also praised Joyce saying, “Jersey Boys, a show you can’t take your eyes off. Best of all is Joyce, combining apple-cheeked freshness with uncanny musical instinct.”
And the plaudits kept coming with the Reviews Hub adding, “Ben Joyce gives a dream-come-true debut performance as Frankie Valli.”
