GETTING THEIR KNICKERS IN A TWIST!

The Rocky Horror Show made headlines this week after religious protesters targeted the show and accused audience members of having ‘dirty minds.’

The drama was played out on the pavement outside Chester’s Storyhouse as The Rocky Horror Show opened for its first night, but despite the protests, sales in Chester remained really strong.

The popular frock n roll musical has huge broad appeal and has delighted audiences for over 40 years with its fantastic music and songs and exuberant message of freedom – don’t dream it, be it!

This powerful photo (Chester Pride) shows a couple making a defiant expression of their love in the face of the ardent protesters unhappy about the show playing in Chester.

The Storyhouse tweeted in response to protesters: “To everyone coming to The Rocky Horror Show tonight and this week at Storyhouse – Storyhouse is and always will be a safe space. We celebrate and support LGBTQ+ communities – always. Let’s have a FABULOUS night & week. To those who are protesting – Let’s Do The Time Warp Again.”
