EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH: KAYA WORONIK

Welcome to our monthly who’s who of Trafalgar Entertainment. This month we say hello to Kaya Woronik!

Which room do you currently work in at home and what do you do?
I work as a Business Affairs and Corporate Projects Associate for TE, and whilst working from home I’m usually at my desk in the office, but very often migrating in search of warmth to various other rooms.

Describe yourself in 3 words!
Can’t pick favourites (as you’ll see!)

Favourite stage production and why?
It is difficult to pick, but I have to give credit to the musical that started it all for me, Wicked. I’ve probably seen it about 5/6 times now, and it always takes me back to being 10 and in awe of the magic of live theatre.

Favourite album?
This is such a difficult question; it is hard to pinpoint just one as so many albums have been so seminal. So, as a cop out, I will say that I am really looking forward to hearing the upcoming An Evening with Silk Sonic album by Silk Sonic (a collaboration between Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak).

Best ever gig?

Two stand out for me, I very luckily got to see Childish Gambino before his (alleged) retirement and sentimentally that will always be one of my favourite gigs. Then, I also got to see Adele at Wembley Stadium, before she too ceased to tour, and that was an amazing and unforgettable event.

Top 3 films of all time?
There are so very many amazing stories out there, that I have watched and loved so much, that it’s genuinely impossible for me to choose a top 3. So, I will just go with the last 3 films that I’ve watched, which are all great films – Erin Brockovich, Clueless and No Country for Old Men.

What’s your go to TV binge boxset?
I always have to have a TV show on the go, so it’s a constant cycle through a long list of shows that I can rewatch endlessly; I have just finished Arrested Development and am now watching Community with Veep being next in the queue.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
I adored visiting Iceland for its landscapes and for providing my first whale watching experience, and then also Thailand for the dichotomy of vibrancy and absolute tranquillity it offers (and not to forget the easy access to pad thai at all times).

Your Greatest sporting achievement?
Funnily enough, I don’t have multiple answers for this one, my sporting achievements are rather few and far between, but I did once walk from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle (about 21.5 miles) for charity so I’m counting that.

What’s your cooking masterpiece?
I absolutely love to cook, and so I love working on dishes and recipes until they each become their own little “masterpieces” in their own right – the recent highlight for me though was definitely making a chicken shawarma that made me forget all about the takeaways, and I’ve been really into making my own pastes as of late, so I think I’m on the cusp of having my Thai green curry down pat  – next on my agenda is to start making my own kimchi!

Who is your hero and why?
My mum is most definitely my personal hero as she’s my mum and I can’t think of anyone who has influenced and taught me more than she has – and I believe my mum’s hero is Oprah, so I guess by proxy Oprah is also technically mine too ?
