EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH: EMILY MAHON

Welcome to our monthly who’s who of Trafalgar Entertainment. This month we say hello to Emily Mahon!

Which room do you currently work in at home and what do you do?
I currently work in every room in the house depending on where everyone else is, sometimes the bedroom, dining room or living room – change of view throughout the day!

Describe yourself in 3 words!
Chatty, bubbly and a bit crazy.

Favourite stage production and why?
My favourite stage production is Phantom of the Opera – I’ve seen it so many times, Ben Forster is my favourite Phantom, I love the music and just the whole production and storyline.

Favourite album?
That’s a tough question! My music taste is very varied, I love all genres, depending on what mood I’m in. Driving to the office I’ll listen to Kisstory normally but when I’m in the gym I listen to heavy rock music so I couldn’t say a favourite album.

Best ever gig?

Probably Panic at the Disco, I’ve been to loads of gigs since I was very young including S Club 7 and Busted but Brandon Urie is a very good showman which made the whole performance so much more memorable.

Top 3 films of all time?
My favourite film is probably The Green Mile (or any Tom Hanks film really), then I would have to say Inception with Leonardo Di Caprio and finally Shrek! Very random but its always been one of my favourites, so much so I even got a quote from the film tattooed on me!

Favourite holiday destination and why?
In all the places in the world I have been I would have to say Cornwall, I go every year with my family and my dog but it never gets old. I love the beaches, the restaurants and the little villages. Its very relaxing and would recommend it to anyone!

Your Greatest sporting achievement?
I go to the gym at least six times a week and love the spinning classes but the only big thing I can think of is when I did the Moonwalk (26.2 miles) around London a few years ago (Dave Bradbury actually thought I Moonwalked a marathon!)

What’s your cooking masterpiece?
I make a very good chicken and mushroom risotto, if I do say so myself! Also cakes and brownies are a speciality too!

Biggest regret in life?
My biggest regret in life is probably not leaving a job I hated sooner. It made me very unhappy, lose a lot of confidence in myself and it was just a horrible time! Luckily it worked out well that when I did finally build up the courage to leave I got offered the job here at TE. I love my job now and I love the challenges and responsibility that is given to me.

Who is your hero and why?
My hero is definitely my nan. She has been through a lot but has always come back stronger, she is like a second mum to me and is always there when I need her. She would literally do anything for me and I would do anything for her.
