CURTAIN DOWN ON THIS YEAR’S SUMMER YOUTH PROJECTS

The Trafalgar Theatres and Trafalgar Entertainment Trust 2024 Summer Youth Projects drew to a close on Sunday 25 August.

This year, 706 young people participated at 8 venues and welcomed audiences of over 9,000.

Produced in-house by our dedicated Creative Learning teams, this year the productions were:

Bromley – West End Experience
Crewe – Bugsy Malone
Dartford – Bring It On
Guildford – Peter Pan
Hayes – Legally Blonde
Southend – Addams Family
Swindon – The Little Mermaid
Wycombe – Wizard of Oz

These incredible projects:

  • Provide participants with the unparalleled experience of working in professional venues in roles both off and on stage.
  • Offer members positive life-changing experiences, increase resilience, confidence and raise aspirations.
  • Reduce isolation, promote wellbeing, and aid social cohesion.
  • Invest in the industry’s workforce by contracting freelance creatives of the highest calibre.
  • Tackle disparities in opportunity by promoting access, inclusivity, and equal access to high-quality cultural education regardless of background.
  • Bridge skills gaps and develop potential future career pathways in a nurturing, fun and professional environment.
  • Welcome many first-time theatre goers and offer an affordable ticket to a high-quality production.
