Trafalgar Theatres and the TE Trust 2024 Summer Youth Projects (SYP) are now underway!  

During March and April, over 900 young people aged 8-19 auditioned across six venues for one of 800 places available!  

Participants new and old were in attendance and eager to showcase their skills in singing, dancing, acting and improvisation for our incredible creative and venue teams.  

2024 also saw a further rollout of pre-audition introductory workshop days that Creative Learning have been developing since 2022 that aim to break down participatory barriers and will extend to all SYP venues from 2025.  

The Beck Theatre had an unusual start to auditions when they welcomed two stray horses in their car park – an unusual way to start the day… there are rumours they were both hoping to be cast as the Legally Blonde dogs!  

Summer 2024 will also see the return of a Summer Project at The Churchill Theatre in Bromley for the first time since 2019 as they launch their debut of the sell-out West End Experience. This project offers the ultimate in musical theatre training, and after five days of working with West End professionals, participants perform excerpts from fantastic West End shows in the ‘Grand Finale Concert’ with the stars! Watch this space for West End Experience appearing at other venues over the coming 12 months.
