Churchill Theatre Bromley has recently been granted Dementia Friendly status and is now part of the London Arts and Culture Dementia-Friendly Network.

As a result, Churchill Theatre’s Top Five Commitments are:

1. To have a commitment to encouraging staff in becoming Dementia Friends. Once they have completed an information session, staff will wear designated Dementia Friends badges so they are visible to those affected by Dementia.
2. Pre-event information, including dementia-inclusive access information (i.e. visual stories) and details of the event, to be sent prior to all booked events on request.
3. Staff/volunteers to be available to meet and greet visitors and help with their visit.
4. The venue to consult with local partners and organisations to  improve inclusivity for patrons with Dementia as part of its ongoing commitment to improving access.
5. To become part of the local Dementia Action Alliance.
