Trafalgar Releasing presents World Class Ballet and Opera in cinemas this month with two fantastic events.

The Bolshoi Ballet in Cinema season presents: Jewels, broadcast LIVE from the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow to cinemas on Sunday 23 January. Three Cities. Three Jewels. Emeralds for the elegance and sophistication of Paris, rubies for the speed and modernity of New York, and diamonds for an imperial St. Petersburg. Three sparkling scenes accompanied by the music of three essential composers, feature the styles of the three dance schools that have contributed to making George Balanchine a legend of modern ballet.

The Met: Live in HD also returns to cinemas with Rigoletto on Saturday 29 January! Don’t miss Tony Award–winning director Bartlett Sher’s bold new staging of Verdi’s timeless tragedy, which resets the opera’s action in 1920s Europe. Baritone Quinn Kelsey, a commanding artist at the height of his powers, brings his searing portrayal of the title role to the Met for the first time, starring alongside soprano Rosa Feola as Gilda and tenor Piotr Beczała as the Duke of Mantua.
