A WARM WELCOME TO EASTBOURNE THEATRES
This month, we successfully concluded our discussions with Eastbourne Borough Council in relation to the Eastbourne Theatres venues (The Congress Theatre, Devonshire Park, Winter Gardens and Welcome Building). The venues form part of the ‘Devonshire Quarter’ which includes the Towner Art Gallery and are the cultural hub of the town.
The Trafalgar Team were delighted to visit a sunny (and windy!) Eastbourne to officially welcome our new Eastbourne colleagues to the Trafalgar family. We’re looking forward to working closely with them to develop and enhance the operation and to ensure future success.

Colleagues gathered in the stunning Winter Garden for a special meet and greet drinks reception, and were welcomed by Chris Jordan (Eastbourne Theatre Director) and Helen Enright (CEO of Trafalgar Theatres & Venues).

Chris McGuigan, Group Commercial Director (Venues), said: “Trafalgar’s venue division has experienced a period of rapid growth over the past six months, with new venues in Fareham, Bradford, and the three theatres in Eastbourne.
“The Eastbourne venues are leading destinations on the East Sussex coast, and we will build on their excellent reputations for high quality entertainment. We will ensure that the best shows and events will continue to be brought here alongside premieres of major new productions.
“We also plan to expand the range and quantity of programming on offer at all three theatres, grow regional audiences, and host a wide range of high-quality events utilising our first-class, event-planning, dining and hospitality services.”
“We look forward to working in partnership with Eastbourne Borough Council, Theatre Director Chris Jordan and all our new colleagues at Eastbourne Theatres.”
