A NEW ADMISSION TO TRAFALGAR STUDIOS
We’re delighted with the news that Alex Kingston (ER, Doctor Who) is set to star in the award-winning comedy, Admissions, from the writer of acclaimed hit Bad Jews, Joshua Harmon.
Following its hugely successful run at New York’s Lincoln Centre Theater, Admissions will open at Trafalgar Studios on 28 February for a strictly limited season until 25 May, before embarking on a UK tour. The production will be directed by Daniel Aukin and produced by Simon Friend, Trafalgar Theatre Productions and Gavin Kalin in association with Anthology Theatre. Further casting will be announced soon.
Following the run at Trafalgar Studios, Admissions will tour the UK playing at the Richmond Theatre, the Cambridge Arts Theatre, the Malvern Festival Theatre and the Lyric Theatre at The Lowry in Salford.
Sherri (Alex Kingston) is the Head of Admissions at a private school, fighting to diversify the student intake and she wants you to know about it. When her son is deferred from his university of choice, and his best friend – who ‘ticks more boxes’ – is accepted, Sherri’s personal ambition collides with her progressive values. Piercing and provocative, Admissions is 90 minutes long, but the debate will take you through the night.
Previews begin on 28 February with press night slated for 12 March at 7pm.
