LET’S DO THE TIME WARP AGAIN!
The Rocky Horror Show returned with a bang last month, kicking off its 2021 World Tour in spectacular fashion at Southampton’s Mayflower Theatre. Following a stint in Canterbury, the show has now rocked up at Milton Keynes Theatre.
Leading star, Ore Oduba, believes Rocky Horror is just the tonic audiences around the country are in need of. “Theatregoers are gagging for a great night out,” he says. “They’re desperate and clawing at the walls, and this show is the perfect remedy to everything we’ve all been through. People want to laugh and be uplifted and to be able to forget about everything for a couple of hours. It’s all about ‘Leave your inhibitions at the door – we haven’t got time for that’.”
It’s also just been announced that the current tour will play a limited Halloween engagement in London later this year, playing at the Peacock Theatre from 20 – 30 October. Further casting for the London run is to be confirmed.

Ore added: “It’s such an iconic show and so well-loved, but I thought ‘I wonder what my wife is going to say about audiences seeing me in stockings’. I needn’t have worried because what I’d forgotten is that Rocky Horror is one of her and her family’s favourite shows of all time. She was beside herself.”
The Rocky Horror Show follows Brad and Janet, a young couple who have to take shelter in a nearby castle. There, they meet Dr. Frank N. Furter who reveals the latest creation they’ve been working on. The sci-fi musical features a book, music and lyrics by Richard O’ Brien, with songs include “Dammit, Janet,” “Sweet Transvestite” and “The Time Warp.”
