VACCINATIONS TAKE CENTRE STAGE

Life-saving vaccinations are taking centre-stage at three HQ venues in support of the NHS COVID-19 vaccination programme.

Southend’s Cliffs Pavilion joins G Live and Wycombe Swan to become the third HQ-operated theatre to be used for vaccinations.

Ellen McPhillips, Venue Director at Southend Theatres said: We are absolutely delighted to be supporting the NHS and playing our part in the roll out of the vaccination programme. The Cliffs Pavilion has been unable to operate as a theatre for many months. However, it provides an ideal space for this new purpose. My thanks to everyone involved in this effort and we look forward to working in partnership with the NHS and supporting them in whatever way we can.”

Julian Russell, CEO of HQ Theatres said: “The NHS contacted us before Christmas to discuss the practicalities of using a number of our venues for the vaccination programme. They’ve worked closely, and quickly, with our superb venue teams to get everything ready and we’re obviously thrilled, after months of closure, to be able to support the rollout of the vaccination programme.  We can’t wait to get back to what we do best – and this is another step on the road to recovery.”
