Last weekend, Liam McLaughlin (Trafalgar Tickets) represented Team GB at the Duathlon World Championships in Pontevedra, Spain, coming fourth overall in the competition.

Liam said: “This was my Team GB debut after I qualified last year, and this training block was six months solid (like having a second job!). The race was tough in the heat and I missed out on a bronze by one second. The event was a 5km run, followed by a 20km bike ride and then a 2.5km run.

“I’ve qualified for next year’s World Championships in Abu Dhabi 2026 thanks to my result. It was a great experience and I’m looking forward to going again next year to try and bring some silverware home.”
