EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: KIERAN FOX

Where do you work and what do you do?
I recently joined Trafalgar Tickets as Growth Director, so I help oversee the commercial delivery of the Ticketing Division with a primary focus on driving brand awareness, new customer acquisition and retention for our B2C brands and venues.

Describe yourself in 3 words!
At the moment – because I am new and learning – Curious, Driven and Nosey ๐Ÿ™‚

Favourite stage production and why?
The one I am constantly in awe of due to the opening sequence is still The Lion King, and therefore it’s probably the show I have seen the most. I am a jukebox musical fan more so though, so more recently it’s Bat Out of Hell – I’m the one you’ll hear trying to sing under his breathe to Meatloaf so as not to annoy my seat neighbours.

Favourite album?
I’m going to cheat (again) and choose two: ‘Bad’ by Michael Jackson and ‘Urban Hymns’ from The Verve.

Best ever gig?

V Festival 2000. I was 18 years old and it was just after the BritPop era, so I saw Coldplay, Semisonic, Supergrass, Ocean Colour Scene, James, Toploader, Richard Ashcroft. It was immense. Camping with your mates, singing in the rain on people’s shoulders, and managing to keep going on very little sleep – all things that I’d struggle with greatly now!

Top 3 films of all time?
Shawshank Redemption, Pretty Woman, and the original Star Wars Trilogy.

Whatโ€™s your go to TV binge boxset?
Hands down it has to be Schitts Creek – anyone who disagrees, feel free to message me and good luck convincing me otherwise ๐Ÿ™‚

Favourite holiday destination and why? Soooo many. Those that know me, know that I love a holiday. If I had to choose one though, probably Cape Town. The scenery, the people, the food, the wine, the culture, and it’s comparatively cheap when you are there. Perfect.

Your Greatest sporting achievement? Sports is really not my forte. I did do Parkrun this weekend though in Bushy Park and got a new PB of under 23 minutes, so let’s go with that! I know there are others in Ticketing that run a lot quicker than that though…

Who is your hero and why? Probably Richard Branson – the ultimate British entrepreneur. I love the Virgin brand, and the fact he bought his island, Necker, for just $180K instead of the price tag of $6million puts my yellow sticker wins in Sainsbury’s to shame.

What is your cooking masterpiece? Anything in the slow cooker – the smells slowly filling the house gives me a lot of joy.
