EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: BECKY PEPPER

Where do you work and what do you do?
I’m the Marketing Campaign Director for Trafalgar Theatres regional venues. I’m responsible for managing and motivating the Campaign team to ensure we hit our sales and occupancy targets across our 13 regional venues.

Describe yourself in 3 words!
Fun, loyal…. And tired

What is your earliest Christmas memory?
Coming downstairs with my brother and 2 sisters to see a room full of presents and the whole house smelling of roast dinner. One particular year my younger sister refused to eat Christmas dinner for some reason I forget, and opted for a banana instead. Needless to say we always remind her of this 30+ years on.

Favourite ever panto and who starred in it?

Not star led, but my fondest memory of panto will always be, being taken to our local village hall each year by my Nan and Grandad to watch the local panto. My first ever experience of theatre, and panto. It was probably Mick from the video shop as the Dame.

Top 3 favourite Christmas songs?
Slade (obviously), East 17 (who didn’t want one of those massive white fur coats) and since I’ve just recently sat through a nativity for my kids – Starry Night does bring a tear to my eye.

Top 3 Christmas films of all time?
The Grinch cartoon is a firm favourite in our house, Die Hard (classic) and The Snowman, again obvious nostalgic choice.

How will you be spending Christmas Day this year?
In a blitz of opening presents, cooking, cleaning and setting up toys for my 3 kiddies.

What’s your Christmas cooking masterpiece?
Managing to get it on the table on time. Last year my brother came for 1pm and I didn’t manage to serve it until 5pm!

Any New Year’s resolutions?
Take a little bit more time for myself (not just doing the grocery shopping on a Friday eve I mean).

Holiday plans for 2025?
Hopefully booking a 3 week trip to the Maldives with friends. Oh wait, that’s the dream! Pre kids I was lucky enough to travel to some pretty exciting places, Cuba, Jamaica, Cambodia, Thailand, India, lots of Europe. But now my backpacking days are over it’ll likely be an all inclusive by a pool with 500 waterslides to be splashed repeatedly, probably Italy or Spain.
