WELCOME – OCTOBER 2024

Dear All,

Welcome to the October 2024 edition of Ensemble.

Howard and I, along with many other faces from across Trafalgar, had the pleasure of attending the spectacular gala opening of our newest venue, Fareham Live, at the start of the month.

It was an absolute delight to see the venue full of people; smiling, happy and excited to be experiencing the magic of live entertainment in a brand new venue.

The evening was a huge triumph, so thank you once again to Gavin and the Fareham team for hosting a fabulous event, and congratulations on Fareham Live being declared officially open! You can read all about the gala night in this month’s newsletter.

Trafalgar Theatre Productions launched the highly anticipated The Duchess (Of Malfi) on Wednesday evening starring Jodie Whittaker, with a star-studded press night at Trafalgar Theatre. The show marks Jodie’s return to the West End for the first time in over a decade. And with panto season fast approaching, the Imagine team are firing on all cylinders with press launches and rehearsals now underway.

Trafalgar Releasing has announced some major projects for the coming months including Macbeth starring David Tennant and Cush Jumbo, our very own critically-acclaimed production of Kiss Me, Kate, and pop superstar Shawn Mendes, all heading to the big screen soon.

We also have some big celebrations this month, with not one, but two long service awards in Southend. And congratulations to everyone at Trafalgar Tickets for being awarded Ticketing Provider of the Year 2024 at the UKinbound Awards For Excellence. Wonderful achievements all round.

Finally, the TE Trust and Creative Learning are delighted to present our Annual Report 2023/24. The report gives insight into the meaningful and lasting impact of our work which reached over 54,000 in the last year.

Enjoy reading this month’s Ensemble, and until next time, take care of yourselves.

Best wishes
Rosemary
