EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: ELEANOR WEMYSS

Where do you work and what do you do?
I’m the Senior Marketing Executive for Drama Kids, working in the Woking office doing all things marketing.

Describe yourself in 3 words!
Chaotic, fun, loyal

Favourite stage production and why?
Les Misérables or Hamilton. I absolutely love the music from Les Mis and I’m a big advocate for Russell Crowe in the movie version. And Hamilton speaks for itself, it’s phenomenal. You can find me signing the lyrics when I drive to work each morning, and attempting to rap Guns and Ships.

Favourite album?
Of all time? No idea. My favourite Taylor Swift album is Speak Now, and recently I’ve been listening to the Jersey Boys soundtrack.

Best ever gig?
When I didn’t listen to my friend very well and I thought she said we were seeing Kasabian but she had actually said Kaiser Chiefs. I was pleasantly surprised.

Top 3 films of all time?
Mamma Mia (Colin Firth am I right?), Pitch Perfect, Insidious

What’s your go to TV binge boxset?
Schitt’s Creek, The US Office, New Girl

Favourite holiday destination and why?
Anywhere chock full of history. Paris was a very fun city but I also love Greece as a hot holiday.

Your Greatest sporting achievement?
I did archery at Uni and frequently there were not many women so I would win medals by default. That’s how I have a silver medal. In the same year, they gave me a wooden spoon prize as the lowest scorer ever at competition.

What’s your cooking masterpiece?
I used to work on the counters at Tesco cooking the big chickens, so any meat dish I’m pretty good at. I make some great roast potatoes.

Who is your hero and why?
Emmeline Pankhurst and the other founding members of the suffragette movement. Their motto ‘Deeds not words’ is something I believe everyone can learn from, and what they did for women is amazing.
