The Stage Debut Awards 2023 were presented during a ceremony at 8 Northumberland Avenue in London on 1 October. 

And there was great news for one of our own productions with the award for Best Composer, Lyricist or Writer going to Michael R Jackson for A Strange Loop at the Barbican Theatre!

Michael’s award win comes hot on the heels of the UK premiere of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Broadway show which enjoyed excellent reviews and standing ovations every night during its summer season at the Barbican this year.

For the Best Creative West End Debut award, sponsored by Trafalgar Entertainment, there were two winners!

Tingying Dong for The Crucible at National/Gielgud Theatre (sound designer), and Rob Madge for My Son’s a Queer, (But What Can You Do?) at Garrick/Ambassadors Theatre (writer).

The Stage Debut Awards celebrate emerging actors and creatives, from all backgrounds. Howard and Rosemary attended this year’s ceremony along with members of the Production Team.
