Two members of Southend Theatres staff reached a monumental anniversary of 30 years service this year.

Suzie Byrne has been part of the ticketing team from the initial Box Office set up through to the current Contact Centre operation.

And Paul Driscoll has been Marketing Manager at the venue since it re-opened in 1992.

David Mansfield, Venue Director, said: “Special anniversaries are always worth celebrating and we had double reason to celebrate last month when two of the Southend Theatres team reached their amazing thirty year anniversary. 

“Both Paul and Suzie have obviously enjoyed their last three decades working in the entertainment world and we look forward to them being part of the team for many more years to come.”

Meanwhile, also in Southend, staff at the Cliffs Pavilion got the Front of House team together for a quiz recently. It was the first time since returning to the venue after the lockdowns – when they Zoom quizzed 57 times between the 23 April 2020 and the 27 May 2021! 

Oliver Stacey, Front of House Manager, said: “We have a fantastic Front of House Team here, who get along really well, and the quizzes enabled them to stay in touch whilst not working together and helped maintain the team bond. So it was great for us all to finally get together in person for a quiz night!”

And in case you were wondering, the quiz was won by Maz Morden, Katie Roostan and Jemma Perrin!
