The film version of the multiple Tony award-winning Lincoln Center Theater production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King and I: From the London Palladium has become the biggest theatre event in cinemas of 2018 following global screenings at the end of November.

The production is expected to take $2.5m at the box office.

Trafalgar Releasing is celebrating two box office successes this month with the big screen debuts of Coldplay and BTS. One of the world’s biggest bands, Coldplay were given the big screen treatment with A Head Full of Dreams from director, Mat Whitecross (Supersonic). Trafalgar Releasing distributed the film in over 70 countries worldwide on 14 November. The one night only engagement attracted more than 300,000 attendees with a global box office of over $3.5million and has become the top performing rock music event in cinemas worldwide in 2018.
