HELLO AND WELCOME – MAY 2022
Welcome to the May edition of Ensemble. I hope you’re all keeping well and enjoying the Spring sunshine.
I’d like to start the month with heartfelt thanks and a sad farewell to two of our longest serving colleagues and friends, Caroline Sutcliffe and Ann Hovenden, who leave TE this month to begin new adventures in Dorset and Devon.
Caroline was a founder employee of TE having joined the ATG team in 2012. When the ATG chapter of our lives closed, the green shoots of growth began to flourish at TE, and Caroline moved with us as that new era began. Ann then re-joined having first worked for Howard, Helen and I in the late nineties at ATG. And over those years, we’ve all been through so much together, times of happiness, laughter, sadness, challenge, growth and celebration.
Thank you Ann and Caroline, for your unwavering loyalty, good humour, support, dedication and sheer hard work over all the time we’ve worked together. Things won’t quite be the same without you! We will miss you both enormously, but wish you a world of happiness in your new role and retirement.
Also this month, it’s wonderful to see so much innovation happening across the Group at the moment. From pantomime awards at Trafalgar Theatre and Creative Learning projects in Bromley, to star-studded film events at The Chiswick Cinema and unique diverse programming at The Beck Theatre. We have stories on all these projects in this month’s Ensemble.
Finally, thank you to all those colleagues who have been contributing to our new monthly staff engagement features. They’re proving to be really popular, and this month, we escape to your favourite walking spots to mark National Walking Month. In June’s Ensemble, we celebrate National Pride Month and we’d love to hear your Pride stories. What does Pride mean to you? How are you celebrating? Maybe you’re fundraising or raising awareness of LGBTQ+ causes.
We’re also launching the TE Takeover where each month, we’ll invite someone from TE to write an article for Ensemble. It can be about absolutely anything. A work-related project, a charity event, a story about family and friends, a personal passion or a sport you’re involved in. Whatever it is, we’d love you to get involved and share your stories.
To take part in our National Pride Month feature or to submit an article for the TE Takeover, please send your stories, photos and ideas to Dave Bradbury via email.
Until next time, take care of yourselves.
Best wishes
Rosemary
