TE = TOGETHER & EQUAL
TE’s EDI Working Group is delighted to unveil the company’s new EDI logo and mission statement!

The EDI Working Group has been working on pulling together a succinct mission/logo which we can use for any in-house training, and also the EDI section of the TE website. Ian Curtis at SWD has done a great job of tying it in with the existing TE branding and colour scheme. We hope you like it!
Don’t forget, if you’re interested in joining the TE EDI Working Group, then please get in touch. We’d love to hear from you and welcome any contributions.
We also have a brand new email inbox set up, so please feel free to drop us a line! Our email address is [email protected]

In other news, the Stagecoach Support Centre welcomed Pradeep Jeyaratnam-Joyner from Aspire Leadership who delivered an engaging session to us around Cultural Awareness, Diversity and Inclusion (above).
”A very informative and thought-provoking day with Pradeep introducing new and innovative ways of looking at various topics. As an individual and as a business we have new tools to challenge our thinking and ensure we bespoke our support across the globe.”
Andy Knights – CEO, Trafalgar Education
”An amazing session with Pradeep exploring diversity, equality and inclusion. The section on the stories which help to shape our perspective was particularly enlightening and will really help to gain a better understanding of those we work with and want to work with in the future. Comforting to hear that no-one has got it right in this area yet but that striving to be better is the important thing.”
Jayne Middleton – Head of Global Franchise Sales and Operations
”Such an enjoyable session, particularly around unconscious bias and the internal programming we all go through throughout our lives. Those experiences possibly (for some) influence personality, preferences and values. So many takeaways and thought-provoking discussions.”
Ross Millington – National Franchise Manager

LESBIAN VISIBILITY DAY
Every 26 April since 2008, women who love women have been celebrating Lesbian Visibility Day, 24 hours when our community comes together to celebrate and commemorate the achievements of a group of people who have for so long been marginalised. This day aims to raise awareness about the stereotypes, judgements, and lack of representation that lesbians face. It hopes to encourage lesbians to come out and be their authentic selves within a community that empowers them. This day also promotes acceptance of other LGBTQ groups as well as those of marginalised ethnicities or nationalities. It aims to create a safe and accepting community for all.
