Youngsters given chance to shine in Stagecoach auditions
From 15 February to 10 March Stagecoach will be holding audition workshops for both, ‘Behind the Magic‘ and ‘The Sound of Music’ Summer Showcase across eight different locations.
Any child with a burning ambition to be a shining star on the Disney stage, can audition to be a part of Stagecoach’s unique programme, designed to ensure each student has an exciting and educationally valuable glimpse into the world of professional entertainment.
The course consists of multiple sessions with Disney professionals, encompassing dance, acting, singing, audition skills, and stage performance. All aimed at developing students’ confidence in their ability to work, learn and achieve their full potential.
A full onstage rehearsal will happen before the park opens to the public, culminating in a performance on a Disney stage to an international audience in January 2020.
During summer 2019, young performers can also join Stagecoach’s production team for an exciting one day workshop exploring the wonders of ‘The Sound of Music’. The workshops are designed to offer each student a fun-packed musical experience.
Working alongside the Audition Team they will explore the classic musical ensuring a day to remember with a presentation of work at the end of the day to family and friends.
The two-week residential course will be held at St Mary’s University in Twickenham with the performances being held at the Rose Theatre in Kingston. The course runs from 2 to 17 August.
