YOUR HIGHLIGHTS OF 2021

We catch up with colleagues from across the Group to find out what were their highlights of 2021!

NICOLA LAMPARD – TRAFALGAR RELEASING
Running the 2021 London Marathon was my highlight of the year. It was the culmination of 6 months of planning, training, and fundraising (along with countless energy gels). It was incredibly tough, but the atmosphere on the day, raising £2,000 for Shelter UK, and the joy of crossing the finish line made it all worthwhile.

KATIE WOOD – THE CHISWICK CINEMA
The opening of The Chiswick Cinema was a huge highlight of 2021 for me! Having seen it from architects plans, to a literal hole in the ground, to the beautiful five screen destination that it is today, has been incredible. The hard work and dedication to get it there from the amazing team and the support from across the business, has been exceptional.

KIARAN HALL – CHURCHILL THEATRE BROMLEY
A highlight of 2021 has to be The Gingerbread Man –  a co-production with Creative Learning at the Churchill Theatre with Knuckle and Joint Puppetry Company. This fantastic new children’s show was made during the pandemic, and has been baking slowly until we opened the oven doors to the Studio for a sold out December run in 2021!

LEANNE PALIN – CREWE LYCEUM
Crewe’s highlight this year was Death Drop – The Play
Featuring Kings and Queens who did nothing but SLAY
Reactions were fierce – audiences laughed til they cried
All waiting to see the next person who died

After a lockdown with no laughter
We needed a shift to change history
So we’ll be forever grateful to have hosted
This Drag Murder Mystery!

MATILDA DWYER – THEATRE ROYAL SYDNEY
Whilst I’m sure many people share the sentiment that 2021 didn’t quite reach the glorious highs they were hoping for, there are still moments that shine when you look back. My highlight of 2021 was being the MC for the wedding of one of my oldest friends. Finally, that loud voice that got me in trouble all through our school years came in handy.

FIONA MOON – G LIVE GUILDFORD
I was really lucky this year to start R and D on my first ACE funded touring show – an immersive, sensory theatre experience for babies and toddlers, all inspired by Irish language, music and dance! We previewed at 4 venues, including G Live, and it was fantastic to see the audience playing, dancing and clapping along! I’m so grateful to be being creative again post lockdown, and I’m excited to see where the project will go in the future.
