BLOCKBUSTER PERFORMANCES FROM COLDPLAY AND BTS
Trafalgar Releasing is celebrating two box office successes this month with the big screen debuts of Coldplay and BTS.
One of the world’s biggest bands, Coldplay were given the big screen treatment with A Head Full of Dreams from director, Mat Whitecross (Supersonic). Trafalgar Releasing distributed the film in over 70 countries worldwide on 14 November. The one night only engagement attracted more than 300,000 attendees with a global box office of over $3.5million and has become the top performing rock music event in cinemas worldwide in 2018.

Trafalgar Releasing also broke the global event cinema record with the release of Burn the Stage: the Movie, the first movie from K-Pop phenomenon, BTS. Delivering the highest number of tickets ever sold for event cinema, Burn the Stage currently stands at over 1.4m admissions. One Direction: Where We Are achieved 1.2m admissions back in 2014. Starting on 15 November, Burn the Stage has been seen in over 79 territories around the world on a limited engagement gaining a global box office of circa $14 million.
