Welcome to the September 2026 edition of Ensemble.

As we move into the autumn season, I’m delighted to share a host of successes and milestones from across our businesses.

In our productions division, we’re thrilled to announce that, following its sell-out success and widespread critical acclaim, Death Note: The Musical will return to London’s Barbican Theatre from March to May 2027. This extraordinary production has captivated audiences around the world, and we’re delighted that even more theatre lovers will have the opportunity to experience it next year.

We’re also celebrating exciting news from the London Palladium, where the incomparable La Voix will take to the West End stage on 22 March 2027 as part of the eagerly anticipated La Voix Live tour from Imagine Theatre. It’s wonderful to see such audience demand for this remarkable performer.

Across our education family, it has been an especially busy and rewarding period. Our Summer Youth Project has successfully wrapped for another year, while we have also launched our new corporate training programme, extending the reach of our practical, theatre-inspired learning and communication expertise into workplaces and organisations across the UK.

I’m particularly proud to hear that Ellen Ebbs, a Stagecoach Performing Arts Manager from Sydney, is currently appearing in the Australian premiere tour of Fiddler on the Roof and recently welcomed students to experience the production first-hand, creating memories and inspiration that will stay with them for years to come.

There are well-deserved celebrations across the wider Group, with Stagecoach Canada receiving a gold recognition award from the CFA Awards of Excellence and Bradford Live reaching the finals of the Great British Theatres Awards. The Chiswick Cinema has entered the BIFA Cinema of the Year Award and Swindon Theatres is nominated for a UK Theatre Award. Wonderful achievements reflecting the dedication, talent and hard work of so many colleagues.

Together, we continue to create extraordinary experiences for audiences, students, customers and communities around the world.

Finally, congratulations to Lorna Strawson who has been appointed as our new Regional Director – Theatres, effective 5 October. Lorna brings significant leadership experience from across our venue portfolio and this newly created role represents an important step in the continued evolution of Trafalgar Theatres.
