TEAM TRAFALGAR AT THE OLIVIER AWARDS 2026
The 50th Anniversary Olivier Awards took place at London’s Royal Albert Hall on 12 April, with Trafalgar colleagues looking resplendent as they made their way along the green carpet to the glitzy event in the fine spring sunshine.

And it was great news for Good Night, Oscar and Oh, Mary! (currently playing at Trafalgar Theatre) at this year’s ceremony.
The award for OUTSTANDING MUSICAL CONTRIBUTION went to Chris Fenwick (Musical Supervision & Arrangements) and Sean Hayes (Live Piano Performance of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue) for Good Night, Oscar at the Barbican Theatre.
Emmy, Tony, and now Olivier Award-winner Sean, made his West End debut at the Barbican last summer to reprise his much-lauded Tony Award-winning performance of Hollywood actor and concert pianist, Oscar Levant in Good Night, Oscar. The show was produced by Trafalgar Theatre Productions.

West End sensation Oh, Mary! by Cole Escola, currently enjoying a successful run at Trafalgar Theatre, was crowned winner of BEST NEW ENTERTAINMENT OR COMEDY PLAY.

Grant Edwards, General Manager Trafalgar Productions, told Ensemble: “Attending the Olivier Awards is always a highlight of the year, with all the spectacle, glamour and creative buzz that make British theatre so special. 2026 was indeed a spectacular year, with performances from Paddington, Wicked and Shucked, to name a few, electrifying the Royal Albert Hall.

“Paapa Essiedu’s speech was a standout – a powerful and passionate call to recognise, fund and celebrate theatre beyond London, and a reminder that some of the most vital stories and talent are being created across the country. It was fantastic to know that 600,000 people also tuned into the awards, finally back on prime-time BBC! An inspiring evening, spent in the great company of the Trafalgar family as we celebrated wins for Goodnight, Oscar and Oh, Mary!,” he added.
