HOT OFF THE PRESS! HOURI IS A WINNER!
Congratulations to Theatre Royal Sydney’s General Manager, Houri Tapiki, who has just been announced as the winner of the Venue Professional of the Year Award at the 2025 Venue Management Association (Asia and Pacific) Awards.
The Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of professionals who have created memorable moments and events that shape the culture and history of the nation.
Having originally joined the Theatre Royal Sydney team as Head of Customer Experience – becoming one of the first three members of the venue’s management team – Houri became General Manager of the venue in 2021. With an extensive career history in customer experience across a diverse range of venues and events, Houri had previously led the Client Services teams at Ticketek.
Tim McFarlane, Executive Director (Asia Pacific), said: “Huge congratulations to Houri on her award win. A truly wonderful achievement for someone who demonstrates passion and commitment to the industry and who has contributed so much to Trafalgar’s business and the success of Theatre Royal Sydney.”
The Venue Management Association is the peak body for venue industry professionals in Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia with 1000+ Members, across 16+ countries, representing 300+ venues from diverse venue sectors including sports stadiums, arenas, performing arts, convention and exhibition centres, racetracks, showground and festivals, as well as suppliers to the industry.

Rosemary was a guest at No.10 recently for a special reception for people who have given public service.
Rosemary has already received a Damehood for Services to Theatre and Philanthropy and last year was awarded the Freedom of the City of London (along with Howard) for their contribution to cultural life in the capital.

DARTFORD TEAM GET READY FOR PRIDE
The Dartford Team took over the community space in Bluewater Shopping Centre over the weekend of 14 & 15 June. They engaged with the public, handed out flyers and talked all things Dartford Pride. Bluewater gave the promo space for free and included Dartford Pride ads on their digital screens. Anton Stephans joined the team and gave radio interviews for Made In Kent Radio, who have their studios in Bluewater. The whole event was to raise awareness for Pride ahead of the big day at the Orchard Theatre this Saturday 28 June.

ALEC AND JAMIE ARE AMOOOOOOOZING!
A special shout out to Alec and Jamie from Wycombe Swan FOH who stepped in to be in the cow costume for Imagine’s Wycombe Swan panto photoshoot for Jack and the Beanstalk!
Alec and Jamie spent most of the day in the ‘Derek the Cow’ outfit, including doing some social media content in the high street and were absolute troopers – they were amooooozing!
