Welcome to the February 2025 edition of Ensemble, with a special Production focus.

Trafalgar Theatre Productions, Jonathan Church and Imagine Theatre are all off to busy starts in 2025 with new shows and touring productions, both here in the UK and overseas. Clueless the Musical is now in its preview period at Trafalgar Theatre, and our Barbican season has been announced with two productions to look forward to this summer. We have all the lowdown in this issue of Ensemble.

The big story this month of course, is the news that Trafalgar has become the new operator of Bradford Live, the UK’s newest entertainment venue. As the UK’s City of Culture for 2025, Bradford has an exciting year (and even greater future) ahead, and we’re delighted to be on that journey with Bradford Live.

Bradford Live isn’t just a venue for the City of Bradford. It’s a venue for the whole of
the UK. And it’s up there with the best of the best.

There’s still lots of work to be done, but we’re working around the clock to have the venue open and trading as soon as possible.

On behalf of the Executive Team, I’d like to say a huge thank you to all the teams who have been working on the Bradford project so far.

And please join me in welcoming our new Venue Director for Bradford Live, Darren Moore. Darren joins us as an industry professional with a track record of success in the live entertainment business, with a background in technical, event operations and venue management roles across the wider Yorkshire and Lincolnshire area. He has previously worked for ATG, ASM Global and the NEC Group. Most recently Darren has acted in a consultancy capacity for the Bradford Live development in its transitional period between operators and joins us with a wealth of experience to bring the venue to life as part of the Trafalgar Theatres Team.

In March, we have our annual management Away Day at Fareham Live, where the theme will be another of our core values: Respect. We look forward to seeing many of you there, and there will be a full report in next month’s newsletter.
