Death of a Salesman to embark on UK Tour
One of the greatest plays of the twentieth century, Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman explodes onto the stage in this fresh new production led by acclaimed actor David Hayman (Sid and Nancy, Dad’s Army). The production is presented by Trafalgar Theatre Productions and Raw Material.
Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman takes you on a thrilling journey through the final 24 hours of Willy Loman’s life, filled with his memories, dreams, and struggles and pitting a father’s expectations against his son’s realities. Clinging to the belief that charm and ambition are the keys to success, Willy’s world unravels as he faces the truth about his life and legacy. This powerful and moving story explores the sacrifices people make in pursuit of the ‘American Dream’. Heart-breaking and thought-provoking, it’s a timeless tale of ambition, family, and the price of chasing success.

This Pulitzer Prize and multi award-winning classic play is directed by Andy Arnold, one of the most important figures to have emerged in Scottish theatre in the last 40 years. Formally Artistic Director of the Tron Theatre, Arnold’s work is acclaimed for its boldness and creativity. Known for his unique ability to breathe new life into classic texts and champion innovative new works, Arnold’s direction promises a fresh and compelling take on Arthur Miller’s timeless masterpiece.

Death of a Salesman opens at the Glasgow Pavilion on 5 March 2025 and will travel to Birmingham, Edinburgh, Crewe, Cardiff, Southend, Dublin, High Wycombe and Fareham.
The Merchant of Venice 1936 opens this month

Don’t forget, Trafalgar’s critically-acclaimed production of The Merchant of Venice 1936 returns to London later this month for a strictly limited West End season at Trafalgar Theatre (28 December – 25 January) before heading out on UK tour in 2025. TMOV1936 stars Tracy-Ann Oberman (EastEnders, Doctor Who, Friday Night Dinner) and acclaimed actor Joseph Millson (The Last Kingdom, The Forsythe Saga, RSC Associate Artist). Back by popular demand following a sold-out run at the Criterion Theatre earlier this year, Shakespeare’s enduring classic is transported to 1930s East London against a backdrop of political unrest and the Battle of Cable Street.

American soprano Angel Blue headlines as the Ethiopian princess torn between love and country in a new production of Verdi’s Aida by Michael Mayer that brings audiences inside the towering pyramids and gilded tombs of ancient Egypt with intricate projections and dazzling animations. Romanian-Hungarian mezzo-soprano Judit Kutasi also stars as Aida’s rival, Amneris, alongside Polish tenor Piotr Beczała as the soldier Radamès—completing opera’s greatest love triangle. Met Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin takes the podium to conduct the January 25 performance, which will be broadcast live from the Metropolitan Opera stage to cinemas worldwide.
The Nutcracker – A Christmas Story in Bromley

A Creative Learning and Storymakers Production – For Bromley’s eighth Christmas season, the regular collaborators Storymakers, together with Creative Learning, have developed a brand-new production for younger audiences; The Nutcracker – A Christmas Story in the Churchill Studio from 7-22 December. From being greeted in the foyer by a giant Nutcracker statue, audiences are invited to follow the star trail onto the magical set packed full of giant lollipops, treasure boxes and toys that come alive!
The show is a retelling of the classic story and is filled with original songs, lots of audience interaction and colourful, magical characters that make this a perfect Christmas treat as a relaxed and inclusive show for children (and their families) aged 2+.
The show has been a huge hit and is completely sold out across 30 performances!
